Max Verstappen, the driver of the Red Bull team, triumphed at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, beating the Aston Martin car driven by Fernando Alonso, as well as the Alpine driven by Esteban Ocon, to the finish line.

Behind them, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri ranked from fourth to tenth place respectively during this sixth round of the season. Two drivers were forced to retire: Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll after hitting the barriers several times due to rain, and Haas team Kevin Magnussen, officially due to a mechanical problem. , although it is suspected that he retired so that he could change gearboxes without penalty before the next race.

As for penalties, Williams driver Logan Sargeant received a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane during the race. Nico Hülkenberg also received a five-second penalty and two points on his superlicense, considered responsible for a collision on the first lap. Since the German driver did not respect his penalty during his pit stop, he ultimately received a 10-second penalty.

Finally, Alexander Albon, driver of the Williams team, was caught speeding in the pit lane during a reconnaissance lap before the start of the Grand Prix. As a result, the Williams team was fined 100 euros.
