Max Verstappen, the driver of the Red Bull team, triumphed in the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, crossing the finish line ahead of the Aston Martin car piloted by Fernando Alonso and the Alpine driven by Esteban Ocon.

Behind them, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri finished fourth to tenth respectively in this sixth race of the season. Two drivers were forced to retire: Lance Stroll, Aston Martin’s driver, after colliding with the barriers multiple times due to the rain, and Kevin Magnussen from the Haas team, officially due to a mechanical issue, although it is suspected that he retired in order to change the gearbox “for free” before the next race.

Regarding penalties, Logan Sargeant, Williams’ driver, received a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane during the race. Similarly, George Russell from the Mercedes team received a five-second penalty and two points on his superlicense for a dangerous re-entry onto the track at turn No. 5 in front of Sergio Perez.

Nico Hülkenberg also received a five-second penalty and two points on his superlicense, being deemed responsible for a collision during the first lap. Since the German driver did not serve his penalty during his pit stop, he ultimately received a 10-second penalty.

Finally, Alexander Albon, a Williams driver, was caught speeding in the pit lane during a reconnaissance lap before the start of the Grand Prix. As a result, the Williams team was fined 100 euros.
